Cesar Machado

Musician since he was 12 years old, Cesar studied percussion at the Niteroi Music Conservatory and later at the Villa-Lobos Music School with the great drummer Edgard Rocca. He did a correspondence course of music and harmony at the Beerkle School of Music, Boston USA. Arranger and composer, Cesar has three solo albums recorded: Litoral, Momentos and Made for us. His career is highlighted by shows throughout Brazil and abroad like USA, Germany, France, Holland, Switzerland, Finland and Spain.

He participated in recordings and shows with more than 70 artists such as Nana Caymmi, Ithamara Koorax, Joao Nogueira, Baby Consuelo, Martinho da Vila, Maria Bethania, Maria Creuza, David Friedman, Jurgen Friedrich, Paquito de Rivera and Raul de Souza. Machado recorded a CD Book with Antonio Adolfo which was released in Europe and the USA. He lectured at the Music University of Berlin (Germany), and Universities at South Korea and others. He performed with the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra

With more than 50 years of experience, Machado works for 20 years as a drum and percussion teacher, teaching rhythmic reading and practice together with some projects around the world and in the project of companies like Pao de Aa§aºcar group (Acordes da Vila) for 240 students from 10 to 22 Years and ARTiPURA music school, in Tijuca Rio de Janeiro, for beginners and professional courses. Machado is currently launching the "Toque Brasileiro" project of Loops and Samples with more than 400 patterns consisting of a DVD and CD of a cultural and didactic nature, containing information about Brazilian rhythms and percussions, targeted to the study and research of music teachers, university students, musicologists, musicians in general and everyone interested.
