Solo Artist, Artist Faculty at Peabody Conservatory, The Percussion Collective

As an advocate for todays modern solo percussion art, Ji Su Jung has a distinctive voice instantly recognizable for its lyricism and insight. Her breadth of skill carries her with equal ease from the solo marimba medium to multiple percussion solos and European theatrical works. She has been a laureate in numerous competitions around the world, including Ima Hogg Competition, Linz International Marimba Competition and was a resident artist with NPR in 2015. Ji Su is a rarity in the world of percussion having begun her studies at the age of three. Her exceptional potential quickly blossomed into a professional musical voice leading her to performances at the Jones Hall for the Performing Arts with the Houston Symphony, Grand Rapids Symphony, Romanian Orchestra, Aspen Music Festival and throughout the United States.
