Christos Asonitis

Christos Asonitis is equally at home in the fields of jazz and latin music as is demonstrated by his wide range of activities as a drummer, music teacher, bandleader, arranger and composer. Born in Greece and studied in Athens, Havana, Rio de Janeiro and Munich, Christos has played with numerous musicians in Greece and Germany. Currently lives in Munich his music characterised by a sparkling symbiosis of modern jazz and fine Greek folkloric elements, polyphonic sound images up to rousing rhythms, which form a virtuosic tension.
