Ana Barreiro
Independent
I started playing drums at 12 years old playing in my church in Brazil. Moved to São Paulo to study music and later to the US to learn more about Jazz. As a result of that, I play a lot of Brazilian music and Jazz and anything in between. Currently I work as a session musician and live in Los Angeles, I teach at the Musicians Institute and also at the Stanford Jazz Workshop. You can find me playing with Otmaro Ruiz, Carol Bach-y-Rita, Catina DeLuna, C3 Los Angeles, Red Light Brass Band, Natalie Cadet, Elizabeth Lamers and my own project AmyAna.
